FAQ
FAQs

Q: Do you deliver to hospitals and nursing homes?
Yes. For hospital delivery, we recommend UPS Overnight, 2nd day air or 3 day select to ensure the gift arrives in a timely manner. Unless you are sure the patient will be in the hospital for a week or more, we typically recommend delivery to a residential address. We closely track each hospital delivery to be sure it arrives for the patient. CareGifting staff calls the hospital to ensure the package has been delivered directly to the patient's room and then confirms that delivery with the gift giver. We may call you to confirm information about how long the patient is expected to be in the hospital to be sure your gift reaches him or her before discharge. Call us at 1-800-715-3199 for more information.

Q: Where do you ship from? How long will it take for my gift to arrive?
A: We ship from Seattle. UPS Ground service to the West Coast is 1-3 business days; to the Mid-West is 3-4 business days and to the East Coast/east of the Mississippi is 5-7 business days. Expedited shipping options are available at check out for guaranteed overnight, 2 and 3 day service.

Q: Can I include a gift message?
Yes. At checkout, you will be prompted to enter the gift recipient's name and your personalized gift message. Your message will be printed on a beautiful vellum tag and inserted into a signature CareGifting card.

Q: What’s the difference between a CareGifting Collection and, say, a standard “Get Well” basket or flowers?
A: Traditional “Get Well” baskets are almost solely focused on food. People who are healing often can’t tolerate the carbohydrates, salt and artificial ingredients that are usually in these baskets. Flowers, also a traditional gift, aren’t proactive—the patient can’t actually use them to help the healing process. They can also set off allergic reactions. CareGifting is dedicated to providing products that recipients can actually use to assist in comfort and healing such as:

• Natural balm for dry lips that often result from pain medications, chemotherapy and dehydration
• Water bottle with non-skid gripping band and built-in straw, to assist with hydration
• A journal and pen to take along to doctor’s appointments to take notes or track medication schedules
• Bamboo, soy and other innovative natural textiles that are pesticide-free

The products are pure, natural and when possible, organic. The collections are mindful of allopathic and naturopathic healing protocols, and food items are selected to be sensitive to the recipient’s dietary needs.

Q: What is CareGifting?
A: CareGifting is a both a concept and a company. As a concept, CareGifting is a call to celebrate, comfort and connect. Celebrate the good times. Comfort when support is needed. And always connect with each other. As a company, CareGifting’s mission is to facilitate ways family, friends and colleagues can connect with and support those who are facing life or health transitions. It was formed specifically to promote the idea of healing through connection and support.

Q: Why is “connection” so important when people face a life or health transition?
A: Those in a health or life transition often need practical and emotional support, even if they don’t ask for it. CareGifting encourages people to find ways to give such needed support. See the “Being There” tab for more information.
